From the very beginning British Engines apprentices work within a practical environment. Therefore, they begin to contribute to the business immediately. Apprentices will be mentored and will learn first-hand from colleagues who have years of professional engineering experience.

During the course of their apprenticeship, engineering apprentices gain a minimum of three recognised qualifications. All funded by the business! As their career develops, they may even get the opportunity to train in more specialised areas, receiving the qualifications to match.

98% of our apprentices go on to receive an offer of full-time employment after they have completed and passed their course. Some of our longest serving employees started out as British Engines apprentices and have since worked their way up to senior management positions.

Our unique Apprenticeship + Scheme is accredited by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). As a result, this means our apprentices become professionally registered engineers as soon as they have completed their training. This presents opportunities to gain further chartered status as their career progresses.
