British Engines has been named as one of The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250. The league table ranks Britain’s private mid-market growth companies who have achieved high growth in profit or sales.

Ranked 196th, British Engines is one of only seven North East businesses to make it onto the league table.

Compiled by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times each October, the Top Track 250 is now in its 14th year. It recognises the success of companies who have demonstrated what can be achieved by thinking locally and acting globally, whilst recognising their success.

British Engines sits alongside well-known brands such as: esure, Travelodge, Edinburgh Airport, Birmingham Airport, Trainline, and Holland & Barrett.

The manufacturing and construction sectors feature strongly, with a combined 75 companies from the two industries making it onto the league table.

Of those 250 companies listed, 59 are family-owned businesses, including British Engines, which was founded in 1922 by brothers Charles and Harold Lamb.
