A number of businesses within the British Engines Group have passed their first standalone ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems certification audit.
Following a decision to migrate the group’s company certificate to individual certificates in 2021, Stadium Export Services, BEL Engineering, Stephenson Gobin and BEL Valves joined CMP Products and Tyne Pressure Testing have passed their first individual audit.
ISO 14001:2015 is an internationally recognised environmental management standard which sets requirements to improve environmental and sustainability performance. The auditor complimented the businesses for the presentation of their sites and provided suggestions for the environmental policy, impacts registers and training.
Following the audit, Andy Walton, Head of Health and Safety, and Greg Harrison, Central Health and Safety Trainer at British Engines were accredited by the Institution of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) which means that they can provide sustainability training to employees across the group.

It’s great to see the businesses take ownership of their certificate and implement requirements that suit their individual needs.”
Over the next twelve months the group is focusing on sustainability, Co2 savings, energy usage and carbon footprint.
