On the 24th June 2015, we were pleased to welcome a group of pre-university students into our factory at BEL Valves. The students were attending a one week introduction to Newcastle University, with the opportunity to tour one of our six manufacturing sites and meet some of the current British Engines graduates.
The annual visit aims to offer students an insight into the world of high precision engineering and the career opportunities available. Our current British Engines graduates based at BEL Valves gave a short presentation including an introduction to the company, our product portfolio and a day in the life of an engineering graduate here at British Engines.
The visit helps young students to understand and appreciate the ever changing demands and fast paced environment of the engineering world today. It also helps to reinforce British Engines’ continued relationship with Newcastle University and support our strategy to encourage new and exciting careers in engineering.
