Regional Financial Accountant

The company is based close to Newcastle upon Tyne in Cramlington, Northumberland and has offices across the world including the USA, Asia, Russia, Middle East, Australia and South Africa.

The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our site in Cramlington for a Regional Financial Accountant to join our growing business.  The Regional Financial Accountant will support the business and its overseas offices. They will ensure financial reports are produced accurately and timely in accordance to local legislation.

This position will be on a full time, permanent basis, reporting to the Management Accountant.

Duties will include

  • To produce month end accounts for oversea offices
  • To ensure the balance sheets are reconciled
  • To ensure bank reconciliations are completed
  • To ensure foreign exchange and commissions are accurate
  • To produce each month, a 5 month forecast for the overseas locations
  • To distribute account packs to overseas offices
  • To assist with operating budgets for overseas offices
  • To ensure cash funding requirements are dealt with each month
  • To load and control creditors for regional offices when appropriate, flagging payments due
  • To produce any VAT and tax reporting in line with regional legislation
  • To liaise with regional offices and audit teams to complete annual audits and returns
  • To assist with any other additional requirements that may arise from regional offices
  • To set up and track warranty bonds for customers of regional offices
  • To work in a safe manner; driving positive behaviour and leading by example with regard to the company’s health, safety and environmental policies
  • To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected

The person

The successful candidate must be at least a part qualified accountant or be qualified by experience.  They must have knowledge of management account issues and have a creative approach to improving systems and resolving problems.

Excellent IT, communication and organisation skills are a must

They will also be self-motivated, proficient at manipulating and analysing data and have a high standard of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail


Working hours are 35 per week, dayshift.
