British Engines has over 1,400 employees across the group in 16 countries worldwide. Recruiting talented, ambitious and dynamic people is a key part of our business and something we take very seriously.

Last year, our staff turnover was 1% and we believe that this is because we have an effective recruitment process; finding the right people for the job, first time. Our commitment to our employees has been recognised by Investors in People for 19 consecutive years. In fact, we were one of the first companies in the north east to gain recognition by IIP.

Recruitment for all of our group companies and their offices is managed by our British Engines central services HR team based in Newcastle. The team at head office advise all businesses on the recruitment of employees at all levels and act as a hub for all applications and job offers. The team work closely with each business’ HR Partner, who takes the lead in recruitment, ensuring the best people for each role are recruited.

Our experienced recruitment professionals work with recruitment agencies where relevant. We have formal supply agreements with key agencies and it should be noted that agencies should not contact British Engines speculatively.

If you are offered an interview for a British Engines vacancy you can expect to be provided with information on the role, company information and an opportunity to get the know the business and our people. Depending on the role we are recruiting for, a second round of interviews may be required.

If you require additional support with your application or at interview due to a disability, please contact the recruiting manager directly and we will accommodate your requirements.

The key to our recruitment is that we get to know each individual and offer them the opportunity to get to know us. We are a family run firm with open and transparent systems and processes, which encourage and empower our staff to continue our high standards, develop their careers and enjoy their working lives.

Please note that British Engines do not accept speculative applications, but we would be delighted to hear from you if there is a vacancy on our website that you think is right for you. Please browse our vacancies and apply on line here.

Good luck!
